Recognition of I2IDL by the IEEE LTSC

Today’s recognition of I2IDL by the LTSC is an important moment as we move into the first year of our work.

We look forward to supporting open source initiatives in 2026!

During today’s official monthly community call of the IEEE Learning Technology Standards Committee, a motion was passed to “recognize the newly formed Institute for Infrastructure and Interoperable Data in Learning (I2IDL) as an important organization for supporting open source standards and the work of the LTSC with the goal of evaluating and potentially pursuing a formal relationship in 2026”.

On behalf of the board of I2IDL, I am thankful for the recognition of the LTSC and look forward to exploring ways of working together in the new year.
